MEMORIES OF MY DEAR FRIEND NORM...CLICK HERE to watch a short funny video of Norm & his Buccaneer! Norm was my friend, a kind gentleman, a no-nonsense type of guy you loved being around. I met Norm through a local Radio Control (R/C) airplane club in Rhode Island back in 2003 and he was one of the first to help me at the field (you would always find him at the field if the sun was out and the winds were calm). Norm was an incredible model builder and more impressively, he was an excellent flyer, often winning fun-fly events in our R/C club. There were numerous times Norm and I spent mornings at the flying field, having fun chatting, flying and just spending some great time together. Back in the Fall of 2008, Norm was so kind to have given me a few of his airplanes he no longer was able to fly... and one (New Ruler shown in bottom 2 pics on left) was my favorite... and he knew that! I have not yet flown the "New Ruler" (I was hoping to fly it with Norm this summer) but when I do, I know Norm will be there guiding her through the air ever so gracefully, bouncing along the clouds. I will miss our talks, our laughs and especially our time flying together at the field doing what we both love to do. You can only be so lucky to have met a friend, a kind person such as Norm, in your lifetime... I'll consider myself lucky! Thanks Norm for the great talks, camaraderie, fond memories and Inspiration! You will be missed dearly! My sincere condolences to the Anderson Family on their loss of a great Husband, Father, Grand Father and friend. He'll be missed and remembered by many. |
